        Overview

This amazing colour record of Woking's Home Guard in action shows just what was expected of them should the invader come. We see various exercises on a firing range as well as patrols along the town's streets. Explosions come thick and fast with a variety of weapons, either fired or thrown, while men cross the Basingstoke Canal on a precarious rope bridge, much to the delight of civilian spectators. The film ends with an outdoor fete and pageant for local schoolchildren.
