The Body Beneath
Vampires rampage around Hampstead in a strange, bloody cult horror by low-budget sex-gore auteur Andy Milligan.
Director: Andy Milligan
Overview
"Sexually rampant ghouls, depraved souls... and blood red roses!", screamed the poster for American filmmaker Milligan's Gothic masterpiece. Shot at Highgate Cemetery and at a Hampstead house, this is a deliciously strange and trashy concoction, replete with ornately odd midnight vampire convention, gory death by knitting needle, and sinister hunchback. A bewildering feast for the senses.
This title is also available on the DVD/Blu-ray 'Nightbirds' in the BFI Flipside collection.
