        Overview

Boris Karloff stars as Dr Laurence, a scientist who has devised a way to put one person’s mind into another’s body. He enlists a lovely young doctor, Claire, as his assistant, and as his research progresses he attempts to impress her more and more. When he discovers she is in love with another man, Dick, he selects him as a victim for his experiments. It is up to Claire to stop his murderous intentions.

Co-written by a young Sidney Gilliat, the film served as a calling card for director Robert Stevenson, who followed Hitchcock to Hollywood.
