Twins of Evil
Chilling vampire horror from Hammer in which a pair of innocent twins come under the influence of the evil Count Karnstein.
Director: John Hough
Overview
Chilling vampire horror from Hammer in which a pair of innocent twins come under the influence of the evil Count Karnstein. After being orphaned, two beautiful identical twins move from Vienna to the village of Karnstein. There they are to live with their Uncle, a fanatical Puritan. Nearby, the Count of the village is performing a sacrificial rite which raises his ancestor, the vampire Countess. After she bites him, he too becomes a vampire and sets off in search of victims.
The third film in the loosely constructed 'Karnstein Trilogy' (following The Vampire Lovers and Lust for a Vampire) is based on the classic vampire tale Carmilla by Sheridan Le Fanu. Real-life twins and former Playboy Playmates Mary and Madeleine Collinson star as the twins, along with Peter Cushing, Dennis Price and Isobel Black.
