Overview

A government sponsored recruitment film to encourage soldiers to Suffolk’s Territorial Army. Colonel Coburn appeals to any possible volunteers’ sense of patriotism ”to defend England our homeland, the heart of the British Empire”. A Drumhead parade service of some 350 volunteers is held at Christchurch Park, Ipswich, on Empire Day, followed by weapons demonstrations. All fit men must join the ranks of the Territorials!
